BYOK: Bring Your Own Key

Anthropic 또는 OpenRouter API key를 연결하면 MoClaw가 모든 request를 해당 key로 routing합니다. platform credit caps도 markup도 없습니다. provider가 청구하는 금액만 지불하면 됩니다. MoClaw의 나머지 기능(skills, browser control, cloud computer, cron, files)은 그대로 작동합니다.

작동 방식

엔지니어링 없이 3단계로 BYOK: Bring Your Own Key를 연결합니다.

    API key 받기

    Anthropic 또는 OpenRouter dashboard에서 key를 생성하세요. OpenRouter의 경우 balance를 top up하면 provider cost 기준으로 pass-through billing됩니다.

    MoClaw Settings에 붙여넣기

    Settings → Models → BYOK를 열고 key를 붙여넣으세요. at rest 상태에서는 암호화되어 저장되고, request time에만 복호화됩니다.

    model 선택하기

    model picker를 BYOK model로 전환하세요. 이제 모든 새 chat은 사용자의 key로 billing됩니다. 언제든 다시 전환할 수 있습니다.

내 API key를 저장하나요?
예, envelope encryption으로 at rest 상태에서 암호화해 저장합니다. 사용자를 대신해 requests를 보내려면 필요합니다. Settings에서 언제든 revoke할 수 있으며, 그러면 encrypted blob과 in-memory cache가 몇 초 안에 모두 삭제됩니다.
그래도 paid MoClaw plan이 필요한가요?
아니요. BYOK는 free tier를 포함한 모든 plan에서 작동합니다. Paid plans는 product features(cron, AI cloud computer, deep research)를 unlock하지만 model access는 unlock하지 않습니다. model 비용은 전적으로 사용자의 key에 달려 있습니다.
BYOK와 included credits를 나눠 쓸 수 있나요?
현재는 chat마다 하나를 선택합니다. thread 중간의 cross-chat switching은 roadmap에 있습니다.
OpenAI를 직접 연결하는 것은요?
OpenAI models에는 OpenRouter를 사용하세요. 동일한 upstream pricing에 더해 OpenAI 장애 시 다른 providers로 fallback할 수 있습니다. Direct OpenAI BYOK는 roadmap에 있습니다.
MoClaw skills와 tools도 계속 작동하나요?
예. Skills, browser control, cloud computer, scheduled tasks, file handling 모두 동일하게 실행됩니다. BYOK는 model call 비용을 누가 지불하는지만 바꿉니다.
