Claude Fable 5

Anthropic's most capable model. Coming to MoClaw.

Claude Fable 5 is Anthropic's newest and most capable model, a new tier above Opus. Per Anthropic, it is state-of-the-art across coding, agentic work, knowledge work, and vision, with a 1M-token context window. We are bringing it to MoClaw as a first-class tier: pick it in any chat or let Auto route to it, with no separate key or setup. It is not live yet.

How it works

4 steps to wire up Claude Fable 5, no engineering required.

  1. 1

Fable 5 is coming to MoClaw

Anthropic's newest model just landed, and it is heading to MoClaw next. The moment it goes live it shows up right in your model picker: no waitlist, no setup, no separate key, ready the second you are. Everything you already do keeps working; Fable 5 just becomes the next tier you reach for. Bookmark this page and you will catch it the day it ships.

  2. 2

Pick Fable 5 in the model picker (at launch)

Top-right of any chat, the same place you switch between Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku today. Switch mid-conversation and the rest of the thread keeps working with the new model.

  3. 3

Or let Auto route to it

On Auto, MoClaw picks the right tier per turn. Once Fable 5 is live, Auto will route to it when a task plays to its strengths, with no configuration from you.

  4. 4

Bring your own Anthropic key (optional)

BYOK swaps the billing source to your direct Anthropic account at provider rates with no markup, the same as every other Claude tier. Settings then Models then BYOK.

Why it matters

What is Claude Fable 5?

Claude Fable 5 is Anthropic's newest and most capable model, a new tier that sits above the Opus line. In its launch announcement, Anthropic positions Fable 5 as state-of-the-art across software engineering, knowledge work, vision, and scientific research, and built for long-horizon agent work: given a goal and a harness, it can run for long stretches, planning across stages, delegating to sub-agents, and checking its own work. It ships with a 1M-token context window, and on Anthropic's own API it is priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens.

That long-horizon, self-checking, sub-agent-delegating profile is exactly the kind of work MoClaw is built to run, which is why we are bringing Fable 5 in as a first-class model tier.

How it works on MoClaw

Every new Claude release lands on MoClaw without you changing a thing about how you work. Fable 5 is the same story: when it ships, it shows up in the model picker next to the Claude tiers you already use, and Auto starts routing to it when the task fits.

The reason this matters is that you do not manage Fable 5 access yourself. You do not wait for an API allowlist, juggle a separate key, or rewrite your prompts for a new endpoint. The thread you are already in keeps working, the credits you already have cover it, and prompt caching keeps long conversations cheap across the switch. If you prefer to run on your own Anthropic account, BYOK swaps the billing source at provider rates with no markup, exactly as it does for Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku.

Fable 5 without your own API key

Using Fable 5 through Anthropic's API means a key, a billing account, and $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens metered call by call. On MoClaw it works the other way: Fable 5 is expected to be included in your plan's monthly credits with prompt caching and no markup, so you can use it without ever creating an API key: open a chat, pick the model, go. If you do have an Anthropic account and would rather meter usage there, BYOK routes Fable 5 calls to your key at those same provider rates. Either way, there is no separate Fable 5 signup or allowlist to clear.

What we are committing to

The positioning above is Anthropic's; we are not publishing our own MoClaw-specific benchmarks before the model is live here. What we can say is that Fable 5 will be a first-class tier the moment it is available: selectable per chat, eligible for Auto routing, covered by your plan, and usable with your own key. It is not live yet. This page is where it will land, so check back here for the status.

Fable 5 vs Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku: which should I pick?

Pick the one that fits how you use AI.

Best for Anthropic API price / speed
Fable 5 The hardest, longest-running agent work: multi-stage plans, sub-agent delegation, self-checking over long horizons. Anthropic's most capable tier. $10 / $50 per M tokens. Highest ceiling, highest cost.
Opus 4.8 Heavy reasoning, code review, and deep analysis where you want top quality without the very top tier. $5 / $25 per M tokens. Slower, mid-high cost.
Sonnet 4.6 The everyday default: chat, drafting, search, and summaries. $3 / $15 per M tokens. Fast, mid cost.
Haiku 4.5 Bulk and latency-sensitive tasks: classification, real-time bots, scheduled briefs. $1 / $5 per M tokens. Fastest, lowest cost.
Auto Let MoClaw pick the right tier per turn, the recommended default. Routes to the cheapest tier that meets the quality bar.

Try saying

Real prompts you can paste into Claude Fable 5.

  • Switch this chat to Fable 5 and continue where we left off.
  • On Auto, plan and execute this multi-step task and use the strongest available model for the reasoning steps.
  • Compare the same prompt on Fable 5 and Opus and tell me which answer you'd trust more and why.

Step by step demo

What actually happens when you send the prompt.

Prompt 01 4 steps

“On Auto, take this 40-page spec and turn it into a build plan, then start the first task.”

What MoClaw does

  1. 1 Auto routes the planning step to the strongest tier available for heavy reasoning.
  2. 2 Drafts the build plan as an ordered checklist with dependencies called out.
  3. 3 Picks up the first task and starts executing it in the same thread.
  4. 4 Keeps prompt caching on across the run so the long spec is not re-billed each turn.
Result

Once Fable 5 is live, Auto can route the reasoning-heavy steps to it automatically. Until then the same flow runs on the current top tier, and the day Fable 5 ships your existing chats and Auto routing pick it up with no change on your side.

FAQ

Quick answers about pricing, privacy, and limits.

Is Claude Fable 5 available on MoClaw yet?
Not yet. This page covers the upcoming Fable 5 tier. When it ships it will appear in the model picker for eligible plans automatically, with nothing to sign up for. Check back here for the status.
How will I get Fable 5 access?
You will not manage access yourself. When Fable 5 ships it appears in the model picker for eligible plans, and Auto can route to it. No API allowlist, no separate key, no prompt rewrites.
Will Fable 5 be included in my plan?
That is the plan. Like Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku today, Fable 5 is expected to be covered by your monthly credits with prompt caching and no markup. Exact credit cost per tier will be shown in the model picker at launch.
How much does Fable 5 cost?
On Anthropic's API, Fable 5 is priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, the highest tier, above Opus 4.8 ($5 / $25), Sonnet 4.6 ($3 / $15), and Haiku 4.5 ($1 / $5). On MoClaw it is expected to be included in your monthly credits with no markup, so you can use it without metering an API account yourself; the per-tier credit cost will be visible in the model picker at launch.
Can I use my own Anthropic key for Fable 5?
Yes, BYOK will work the same as it does for every other Claude tier. Add your key under Settings then Models then BYOK and Fable 5 calls hit your Anthropic account directly at provider rates.
How capable is Fable 5? Do you have benchmarks?
Anthropic positions Fable 5 as its most capable model to date: a tier above Opus, state-of-the-art across coding, agentic work, knowledge work, and vision, with a 1M-token context window. We are not publishing our own MoClaw-specific benchmarks before it is live here; once it ships we will document what it is good for and how Auto routing uses it.
When does Fable 5 ship on MoClaw?
We are not committing to a public date yet. When it is live it will show up in the model picker. This page is the place to check.
